International Students – Please check your visa entitlement to work in the UK during your studies. The majority of International Students are allowed to work in term time as long as the total work does not exceed 20 hours per week.

The University recommends that all full-time students do not work more than 16 hours per week during term time so that you can devote sufficient time to your studies.

Other International Workers - Please check your visa entitlement to work in the UK. If you are on a Tier 2/Skilled Worker visa, you can do additional paid work on this visa as long as you’re still doing the job you’re being sponsored for. This additional paid work should be in the same profession and at the same professional level as the work for which your CoS was assigned; be for no more than 20 hours a week; and be outside of the normal working hours for which your CoS was assigned.
