The Emerge: Be Enterprising Team is the enterprise team at the University of Sheffield. We support students, graduates and staff to build entrepreneurial skills, develop ideas and launch start-up businesses.
We are looking for a creative student to join our team to promote a new pathway for student entrepreneurs – the Business Founder Pathway. The Founder Pathway is an exclusive, intensive extra-curricular programme designed to transform those from an aspiring student into an action-oriented entrepreneur.
In this role, you will support the Emerge staff team to assist with designing, capturing and releasing material to promote the Pathway to the University of Sheffield community. You must have interest and capabilities in short form video recording, and be aware of current trends on social media. We are looking for someone who is passionate about enterprise and business creation. Ideally you will have engaged with the Emerge service in some way this academic year.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is a well organised, enterprising and an attentive student to create a marketing plan to best promote the programme.
- Has excellent communication, interpersonal skills and understands how to appeal to a university audience.
- Is highly reliable and will turn up on time, maximising the time allocated for the role.
- Creative with social, digital and technical knowledge to release high quality content quickly.
- Understands the value of entrepreneurship and keen to promote these skills to students.

You will need to be available to work in-person to carry out this work - being based in the Start-up Studio on campus. Some of the hours are flexible depending on your availability, however there will be set days when the student cohort are meeting that you will need to attend. We will also have a welcome chat week commencing 20/10/25, so that we can plan the work schedule.
