About The Role
We are looking for a tutor with experience in using NViVO to support a research methods workshop for Taught Postgraduate students in preparation for their dissertation projects. The tutor will work with the Module Leader to co-deliver the session and will provide specialised instruction to the students on the use of NViVO.
The session is scheduled to take place between 1-4pm on Thursday 15th May at the Management School (Conduit Road) - in addition to the 3hrs contact time, 9hrs prep time will be allocated, in accordance with the current Management School Workload Allocation Model, meaning 12hrs total allocated time.
Students will have little or no pre-existing knowledge of NViVO. The session will emphasize hands-on learning, allowing students to engage directly with the software. It would be beneficial to incorporate interview examples into in-class activities, enabling students to practice coding within the context of thematic analysis. This approach will help them apply these skills effectively to their own research.
The prospective tutor needs the following:
  • expertise in qualitative data analysis and in the use of NViVO for data analysis
          AND
  • good verbal communication skills including an ability to explain difficult concepts in straightforward ways
Hours: 12 hours per week - Part time
Pay: £20.96 per hour plus holiday entitlement
