Help our students get their first job at Uni 💼

The Student Jobshop Team are looking to collaborate with Departments recruiting student casual workers in the coming months for roles which do not require experience. We want to support our students moving towards graduation without any experience, by improving their access to opportunities and helping them to land their first job! “…graduates who have had no previous work experience at all are unlikely to be successful during the selection process for their graduate programmes.” (High Fliers Research Limited, The Graduate Market in 2019, p6) Initially we want to run an event with colleagues from the Careers Service, Departments and a group of students to assess their skills and match them to suitable roles on-campus. This is a new initiative and we will be looking for a small group of around 15 students to start with. If you would like to collaborate on this project, please get in touch! Even if you do not have any roles to advertise, you can contribute by identifying penultimate / final year students without work experience and referring them through to us if they’re keen to receive tailored support.
